Refuelling after the long winter. Get going. Have fun. Reconnect with yourself and activate your energy.

Our spring retreat is all about energy: recharging your batteries while hiking in the high sea climate. Strengthening asanas during yoga, stretching and preparing for the outdoor sports season.

This retreat is designed to be more sporty in keeping with the season: Yoga in the morning to wake up, a longer hike through the unique nature of Borkum after breakfast, and another yoga session in the afternoon, also on the beach if the weather is very good. The retreat is designed to revitalise body and mind.

From our point of view, hiking and yoga complement each other perfectly. Both sports help us to come back to ourselves. They have different effects on the body. Hiking involves long and slow endurance, while yoga stretches and strengthens.

We have chosen the special power place of Borkum (and also Eagle’s home) for the retreat. We are organising the retreat with 2 trainers. Tini is a professional yoga teacher and will lead the yoga sessions, while Karen, as Eagle, will take care of the hiking as usual. As always, we want to offer you a familiar and pleasantly manageable environment. That’s why the number of participants is limited to 8.

Individual journey to Borkum, check-in to the apartments
Yoga session: relax and arrive

Friday, April 12, 2024:
Morning yoga: Flow in preparation for the hike
Breakfast
Ca. 5-hour hike along the north beach and through the nature reserve in the east
Yoga session: stretch and release
Joint dinner 

Saturday, April 13, 2024:
Morning yoga: energy flow
Breakfast
Ca. 4-hour hike through Greune Stee and the west side of the island
Yoga session: Strengthening asanas
Joint dinner

Sunday, April 14, 2024:
Breakfast
Participants’ programme of choice: Active outdoor programme on the beach or yoga to strengthen and relax
Programme ends: 12.30 p.m.

“Hello, I’m Tini. I enjoy exercise, have a sense of humour and therefore often don’t take life and myself too seriously. I love simplicity in things, whether it’s a good coffee in the morning, my minimalist lifestyle or camping with our ever-faithful companion called Gustav. My motto is: Happiness is a choice. I am a vinyasa yoga teacher and came to yoga through a car accident.

In my yoga classes, you are the most important person. I support you in your practice, whether you are a beginner or a yoga pro. I always offer you recommendations – you decide whether you want to implement them. I have made it my mission to awaken your laughter as you move into the deepest asanas. I am known for my unique approach of combining hot stones, tuning forks and Reiki to make you vibrate. If you feel like a dose of humour, a pinch of lightness and movement, then let’s get on the mat together and create magic. Namaste with a wink.”

Price: € p.p. in a studio room for single use, breakfast is included. 2 guided day hikes, 5 yoga sessions, activity on Sunday (yoga, hiking, walking) depending on the weather and your wishes.

Accommodation:

You will stay in the team house of borkum SPORT, in a central yet quiet location.

Prerequisites: Hiking up to max. 5 hours walking time, paved surface and sand. Yoga: no previous knowledge required.

Difficulty level: Hiking: Technique 1, fitness 1.

How to get there: We recommend either travelling by train or at least leaving your car on the mainland! We will discuss the best ferry times during the info meeting.
