Neubrandenburg is a town steeped in history. We focus on the Tollensesee, where a torpedo test facility was located during World War II and can still be found today – well, at least in part.
But the remains of the blown up TVA are only our second destination. Before that we have a look at the target platforms at a depth of almost 30 meters. Mystic darkness surrounds the torpedoes stuck in the sand of the bottom and two of the old target platforms. One of them stands well preserved on the bottom.
The much shallower remains of the TVA with its bewildering huge debris are then our second destination. With or without a scooter, the impressive structures can be explored.
