September 15 – 17, 2023
Our classic tour: the lakes around Leipzig offer pretty much everything your heart desires, from relaxed fish watching in sun-drenched shallow water to old railway tunnels in dark depths.
Most of them are old open-cast mines and quarries that went out of operation after reunification, the pumps were switched off and they filled up with water.
We want to visit at least two of them this weekend:
- Lake Cospuden with its large underwater forest
- the Großer Amelshainer, which is small and picturesque in the forest
- the Kulkwitzer with its large fish population
- Zwenkauer with its forest, wreck and remains from open-cast mining times
Especially with scooters, the forest in Lake Cospuden is great fun.
We will not exceed a maximum depth of 30 m this weekend.
We will be staying in a nice, privately run guesthouse in Zwenkau.
