March 15 – 17, 2024
The lakes around Leipzig offer everything from relaxed fish watching in sun-drenched shallow water to old railway tunnels in dark depths.
As a rule, these are old open-cast mines and quarries that were decommissioned after the reunification. Many have been or are being renaturalised as recreational areas.
We want to visit at least two of them this weekend:
- Lake Cospuden with its large underwater forest
- the Kulkwitzer with its large fish population
- a small insider tip that is only partially open to diving
Each of them has its own charm. Whether by scooter to the forest in Lake Cospuden, the large racks and objects in Lake Kulkwitz or the open-cast mining remains in the Geheimtip.
We will not exceed a maximum depth of 30 metres this weekend.
We will be staying in a small villa close to the lake.
