February 14 – February 16, 2025
The mixture of high demand and the best visibility within the cold season means that we head to beautiful Neubrandenburg once again.
The torpedo testing facility built during the Second World War and the associated installations are the focus, but smaller wrecks also offer a worthwhile target.
The remains of the blasted TVA will be our main target. The maximum depth here is 15m, the target observation platforms and the remaining test torpedoes will also be dived. These are at a depth of 25m.
The shallow remains of the TVA with their confusing, huge pieces of debris are at least as attractive as the torpedoes stuck in the mystical darkness of the sand at the bottom. Good buoyancy control and a careful eye are necessary to maintain good visibility and not risk a hole in your dry suit. There are steel reinforcements in many places, some of which are quite sharp.
We spend the night again in the nearby hostel and take two small boats to the dive sites. Air can be filled on site.
